Fair enough, I respect your position on this. Let's start with a low
order version and present it to the group for consideration. We can
always bump the version number at a later date.

I assume that the question was to the group and not to me personally,
but at any rate I have just sent private emails to all the centres
asking about this. From the replies I have had there seems to have been
reasonable progress made.

However, from what I can tell everyone has just done the migrations
however they see fit, so I am not sure to what extent the migration work
can inform the protocol development.  I can only speak for myself, but
the first migration I completed was just done in Pure Data the quickest
and simplest way I could. The intention was that once the protocol is
fixed I would make the patch 'Integra compliant' and use Integra
modules. I did start a DX7 Integra module for PD, which has been in svn
for ages. I tried to implement some kind of inheritance system, which
maybe this warrants another thread of discussion at some point...
